Myth Magic is both familiar and totally new and abstract at the same time, presenting a vast array of mythical creatures in a mix and match type format. The pages are cut in half, which allows for the most mind-bending mystical mash-ups you can think of. One side of each half-page has an illustration, the other side has corresponding text. So, when you flip one of the pages, the resulting mythical creature is a hybrid of your own creation and the written descriptions are done in a way so that they linguistically still make sense.
The artwork, wow. Fantastical and embellished, but not over-saturated or silly, all of the depictions are next-level. Good Wives and Warriors are powerhouse artists whose work can be found all over the world, and Myth Match is no exception. You might be tempted to buy a second copy just to tear out the pages and hang them on your wall.
