About the Author

Erik Ohlsen is a master of regenerative design, internationally recognized Permaculture teacher, landscape contractor, author, farmer, herbalist, storyteller, and practitioner of Nordic folk traditions. With a commitment spanning over two decades, Erik has founded organizations such as Permaculture Artisans and The Permaculture Skills Center, where he has trained students worldwide in ecological landscaping and regenerative agriculture. His expertise in regenerative design is evident through the implementation of over 100 permaculture landscapes, ranging from small urban lots to expansive tracts of land. With a focus on water harvesting systems, food forest design, community organizing, and vocational education, Erik's work embodies social equity, climate justice, and ecosystem restoration, empowering individuals globally.

About the Publisher

Deborah has been the co-owner and publisher of Synergetic Press since 1984, publishing cutting-edge books on the environment, ethnobotany, psychedelics, consciousness, and cultural anthropology. As Vice-President of Institute of Ecotechnics (ecotechnics.edu) with ecological demonstration projects in sustainable forestry, grasslands, and and oceans, she has helped host a number of international conferences on global trends. Deborah is part owner and a Trustee of the London based October Gallery, exhibiting transvangard artists from around the world. In 1989, she founded and directed the Biosphere Press publishing division for the Biosphere 2 project in Arizona, set-up its educational programs department, and produced over twenty books, video, and educational curriculum titles in the start-up years (1990-1994).
