Collected Works is happy to present Tres Chicas, Renee Gregorio, Joan Logghe, and Miriam Sagan with their new book of poetry Love & Death Greatest Hits. 

Love and Death: Greatest Hits came about in a flash as a title when the three of us were meeting as we do over a meal.  We were discussing the power of the collaborative effort that makes Tres Chicas Books so satisfying, and how the three of us, the chicas themselves, might contribute a book to this mix.

We've been friends for over 25 years, meeting for the first time as poets and compatriots in Santa Fe in the mid-80s.  We are three women who left their places of birth to find a home in the American Southwest.  Heaven and earth feel closer to our bones here.  In this expansiveness, we write our poems.  As poets with intertwined geographies, friendships, and loves, the events of our lives have been threaded together.  The poems show this threading, the way love and death have been our companions, how much we've fallen in love, how we have mourned the deaths of husbands and lovers together, and how passion has informed our poetry.  

Love & Death Greatest Hits is selected from three bodies of work to create not just a book but a sense of community.  We hope to see you in the store for this incredible community event.
