Collected Works and the Shared Reading Series features local authors Shanti Elke Bannwart and Richard Mills for a reading from their books.
Shanti Elke Bannwart presents her memoir, Dancing on One Foot, which confronts the realities of growing up in Nazi Germany and coming to terms with her country's part in one of the great crimes of World War II. Born in Hamburg, Germany, she currently lives in Santa Fe, where she is a life coach, psychotherapist, and clay artist. Dancing on One Foot received the First Prize in Nonfiction at the 2011 Southwest Writers National Competition.
Richard Mills presents his second novel, Tethys Voyage, in which an anthropologist and a geologist travel through time to meet Biblical characters and figureheads of Ancient Greece. Mills is a retired geologist who has drawn upon his global adventures to write two novels: Voyage of the Reef and Tethys Voyage. He lives in Santa Fe.
