Santa Fe Writers Lab, a new division of the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, is thrilled to team up with Santa Fe's #1 independent bookstore, Collected Works, to present the Santa Fe Writers Lab Icons Series.
The second presentation is William deBuys and Tony O'Brien delving into the parallel yet interwoven storytelling processes of words and photography, a topic they will cover in greater details in their Words+Images workshop, May 21–26.
O’Brien's photography will be up in the Collected Works gallery.
About the Santa Fe Writers Lab:
For 27 years, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops has focused on improving our abilities to discover and understand the world through photographs. Beginning in 2017, Santa Fe Workshops is expanding their experiential educational offerings with the introduction of their new Writers Lab, which theey envision as a community of storytellers from all walks of life, professions, and disciplines that gather in the mountains of New Mexico and on the ever-changing island of Cuba to live the writer’s life. Santa Fe Writers Lab, for both aspiring and established writers, began in January with two sold-out, week-long workshops in Havana, Cuba and further unfolds in Santa Fe with eight, week-long workshops as well as eight, one-day weekend intensives in May of 2017.
Inspiring guest instructors renowned in the literary world provide daily lessons on the art and craft of writing. Collaborative and constructive conversation with fellow writers, quiet time to reflect and write, warm sunshine and cool mountain air along with fresh and healthy food from Chef Kim all work together to provide a one-of-a-kind opportunity in magical Santa Fe to enhance and move forward your writing.
