Forrest Fenn in conversation with Michael McGarrity -- "The Thrill of the Chase - A Memoir" 10/25/2010 6:00 pm
America/Denver
Join us for the launch of Forrest Fenn's new book, The Thrill of the Chase: A Memoir. This book is the remarkable true story of Forrest Fenn's life and of a hidden treasure, secreted somewhere in the mountains north of Santa Fe. The book contains clues to the treasure's location as Forrest Fenn invites readers to join in The Thrill of the Chase. This memoir includes a true story about a secret treasure and an outrageous dare. “Unlock the clues that are scattered among these pages and you can go home with a bronze chest that is so full of gold and precious jewelry that it’s almost too heavy for one person to carry.” Forrest has said that if he were younger, he’d go back and get it himself. After retiring from the Air Force in 1970, the author built an art gallery in Santa Fe that he and his wife ran for seventeen years. Since retiring again in 1988, his energies have been directed toward excavation of a large Indian pueblo and writing books about art and exploration. This is his eighth book and now he has promised to rest, but he has broken that promise several times before.
Michael McGarrity, author of the Kevin Kerney mystery series (including Tularosa), is a former law enforcement officer, professor, and psychotherapist; he was also a receipient of the prestigious New Mexico Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts -- Literature. His books are critically acclaimed, national best sellers.
