Santa Fe guitarist, singer, and songwriter Laurianne Fiorentino lights up Collected Works on Sundays in January! Join us for a free, family-friendly set of empowering original music.

Laurianne Fiorentino has been described as the Georgia O'Keefe of music - her work emphasizes simple intimacy, femininity, space, and complexity. With a guitar style at once like a bass, a bell, and a drum, she creates multi-layered rhythms that underlie a voice at times rough and ready, at times soft and lush as a velvet dress.

Collected Works Bookstore presents local Santa Fe legend and modern master of rhymed verse Rosé for a book signing of his latest publication “The Pearl Upon the Crown: Eight Cantos."

Born Sanford Cohen in the Bronx, New York in 1934, the poet renamed himself Rosé when he began performing as a poet and storyteller in the tradition of the ultra-hip Lord Buckley, harking back to the oral roots of epic poetry.

Rosé had a variety of life experiences that led him to different jobs and educational opportunities. He performs as a stand-up poet in salons, homes, theatres, clubs, sushi bars, on radio and television in New York, LA, Miami and Santa Fe. His best known performance was at the United Nations in New York City in conjunction with an exhibit he organized and produced, “Swords into Plowshares, Tony Price: Atomic Art Exhibition.” He is the author of POETRAITS and his work has appeared in various issues of THE Magazine.

Start: 10:45 am

Collected Works Bookstore is pleased to offer a 45-minute Story Time session every Wednesday and Thursday at 10.45am!

Featured books cater to children aged 6 months to 5 years.  Most sessions begin ith simple but engaging books for the youngest listeners, and build to longer picture books, rhyming poems, our newest favorites, and classics for the "big kids."

As attention spans vary, families are welcome to come and go as they wish throughout Story Time--- we are delighted to host the group to its saturation point!  Occasionally, we break into song if the children need movement or a change of pace.  We also encourage dialogue as the stories are read and the audience's curiousity is piqued.

All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult throughout the Story Time.  Please come enjoy our gatherings and follow up with a visit to our cafe; nothing goes with a good story like a great snack!
