Collected Works hosts designer Deborah Grossman and her Beginning Crochet Workshop! Join Deborah and learn the five basic crochet stitches that are the foundation for all crochet: chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch. Learn how to turn your work, count your stitches, and the basics of reading patterns.
Deborah Grossman has been designing accessories since childhood, but it
was not until she discovered bead crochet in 2000 that she turned her
hobby into a profession. Her company Dulcinea Design creates crochet
handbags, jewelry, sachets, and hats for children and babies. Deborah
Grossman's designs are inspired by handbags popular from the late 1800s
through the 1920s. Dulcinea Design puts a modern spin on classic
techniques by combining vintage patterns with unusual color pairings,
beads, and thread.
