Carol Calvert is a priest with the Church of Antioch in Santa Fe. A practicing Druid, she is also a singer, harpist, and composer. Her novel of Celtic spirituality, Beitha's Sound, shares a story of female empowerment in the face of the spread of Christianity to England and Ireland during the 5th Century C.E.
Andrew Connan is the author of Beyond the Rainbow Flash, Through the Money Flash, and Into the Land of Dreams, the first three books in the Flash Travelers series. He is currently hard at work on the fourth Flash Travelers book.
Forrest Fenn is a Santa Fe legend. His book, The Thrill of The Chase, is a memoir of his extraordinary life and of a hidden treasure, secreted somewhere in the mountains north of town. The Thrill of The Chase is available exclusively from Collected Works Bookstore.
E.B. Held's book A Spy's Guide to Santa Fe and Albuquerque tracks New Mexico's history of espionage. Through stories surrounding Trostky's assassination, atomic intelligence leaks, and a myriad of other Cold War hijinks, Held illustrates New Mexico's role as a hotbed of spy-vs.-spy intrigue.
Isolde Kona-Dovale, a research scientist, wrote her first book Tales for Asti: Twelve Stories to Read to Your Dog after discovering how much her own dogs enjoyed her yarns. Her canine companion Arnica heartily recommends the book to dogs, their friends, and their families the world over.
Stacia Lewandowski, a research associate at the Zaplin Lampert Gallery in Santa Fe, is the author of Light, Landscape, and the Creative Quest: Early Artists of Santa Fe. The book traces the dramatic artistic developments in Santa Fe during the first decades of the 20th Century.
Christine Mather is the best-selling author of Santa Fe Style, Native America, and True West. Her book Santa Fe Christmas, featured in Collected Works' holiday signing event, celebrates the warmth of the holidays with the signature style of Santa Fe
Valentine McKay Riddell's The River Goddess and Other Stories is a young adult novel that illustrates a girl's discovery of herself, the magic of everyday life, and the true meaning of being a heroine. Riddell holds a PhD in Psychology, and has a private practice in shamanic healing and wellness counseling.
Nancy Rips presents her book Hannukah Stories, a selection of anecdotes, memories, and classic tales celebrating the Jewish holiday of perseverance and light. Here, readers will find fond reminisces of Hannukahs spent on an RV campground in California, on the ice in Finland, even about the Hubble Spacecraft.
Joan Tewkesbury is an acclaimed screenwriter whose first book, Ebba and the Green Dresses of Olivia Gomez in a Time of Conflict and War, weaves a story of corruption, love, revenge and triumph set in a fictional Mexican town.
Dirk Wales' The Further Adventures of a Lucky Dog: Owney, US Rail Mascot is a unique early readers' book. Based on a true story, it leads readers through the life of Owney, an Albany Post Office dog c. 1880 who takes a cross-country train trip on his own. He witnesses the 1893 World's Columbian Exhibition, takes a ferris wheel ride with Thomas Edison, and provides young readers with period maps of the country.
Susan Weber is the author of Christmas in Santa Fe, a handsome coffee table book which synthesizes the Pueblo, Spanish, and Anglo traditions that make Santa Fe a timeless holiday destination.
Michael Wigley is a Santa Fe gallery owner who represents oil painter Eric Sloane's work. His book Eric Sloane's America: Paintings in Oil gathers nearly 100 of Eric Sloane's oil paintings, with subjects ranging from New England to the American Southwest.
